For many people, the word “home” brings up feelings of warmth and security, and perhaps a bit of nostalgia. For some, thoughts of “home” may seem foreign or strike a chord of pain in the heart due to past painful experiences. Maybe it’s a little of both. Have you ever wondered what that’s about?
What does being or feeling “at home” really mean? And what does that have to do with our own home structures- and our eternal home – as well as art and architecture in general, our moral values, and the overarching restlessness we feel in our hearts?
Listen in as guest Olivia Gulino discusses the topic of “Home” with us which was the subject of her research thesis from the University of Dallas. If the thought of hearing about a “research thesis” is concerning, no worries friends! Olivia has a lovely way of taking very complex ideas, and articulating them in a way that is applicable for our daily lives. Absolutely fascinating topic!! Find out more about UD here and here.
And then there was THIS….after the interview, Olivia began sharing some truly profound reflections on Christ as our ultimate “dwelling”…our ultimate “home”. It was so good that we just had to record it and share it with you! Pax Christi, ya’ll.
