Are you in need of healing? Is there a particular area or two in your life where you are struggling, or suffering, or broken?
This episode from June 2014 with Fr. Josh Johnson was one that really spoke to my heart, and is timeless in its content.
SO MUCH I love about Fr. Josh, holy young priest after God’s own heart, and in my own heart, my spiritual son. I’m so grateful that God brought him in to the life of my own family a number of years ago. Watching the magnificence of God – with his “I Love You” – unfold in transfiguring Fr. Josh from the lies, beliefs, vows, and false identities that he assumed within himself, to his true identity as son of the Most High God – unbelieveable, really. I don’t have the words. Just immense gratitude!
Fr. Josh speaks today from his own heart, and from the healing he has received from Christ and the gift of the Church. He helps us to begin to explore – down to the root – issues underlying our brokenness, our wounds and our concupiscence – and shares the beauty of ways in which we can find our way back to wholeness.
For those who don’t yet know Fr. Josh, get ready…. He’s about gettin’ real. And what he shares is through his own painful journey as a wayward young man who finally found what he was looking for all along – Jesus Christ, Divine Mercy and Love. Jesus Christ, the Divine Physician. What a gift he is to us in this time and in this day of so many challenges!
I think you may very well need a pen and paper today to take some notes:) Fr. Josh (who I think may talk even faster than me!) drops so many pearls of wisdom today to help us make some connections between our wounds and concupiscence, the lies and beliefs that we embraced about ourselves, and how all of this and more ultimately lead us away from Infinite Love.
But he doesn’t just leave us there! We also discussed the way TO Infinite Love, to Christ Who is calling every human person to Himself in great Love and Mercy.
There’s so much more…. Do check out the resources below for more about Fr. Josh, his witness, and the message that he is sharing with us today.

“Love is always desiring Heaven for the beloved”
LISTEN TO THE SHOW:
- “….(excerpt) it seems to me that we have got to follow the example of our Lord and be on the offense in the battle with the fallen angels, the demons. Because they will attack us, and they will attack us on our relationship with the Father, on our identities, and on our mission in this life. If they can get our focus off of our prayer life, in which we have the opportunity to be reminded by our Father on our core identity, then they can have us believing two lies about ourselves. The first lie says this: “We cannot do what we are trying to do.” The second lies says this: “Our identity is what we do.” Hence, if you or I fall into sin, then we become that sin. For example, your core identity is that you are a liar because you have lied in your lifetime. Or your core identity is you are a loser because you cannot seem to win anything. Or you are inadequate because you cannot seem to get a good grade in that class! This is who you are! My brothers and sisters, these judgments are lies from Satan! Yet, they are lies that can be easily believed if you are not strong in your relationship with your Heavenly Father…….”
In this Youtube video, Fr. Josh does a little rappin’, then tells briefly his testimony. POWERFUL, and speaks the depth of Christ’s love for us and how He calls us to holiness and communion though we run away – even while we are actively committing sins against His Love for us. He continues to pursue us in Love!
- Powerful video testimonies of Fr. Josh & Fr. Mike Schmitz about their stories to priesthood- neither have had an easy, “butterflies & honey”path by any means)
- “I am so broken…..in the midst of my brokenness, He loves ME….” (Fr. Josh)
